Genre Picture Analysis

This genre type was Thriller.

By doing the stance that is well known for the thriller song we tried to do this and show it through the thriller stand. In addition to trying to show the genre through a stand, we used the prop of a wig to try and represent danger. I also thought that the wig would be seen as a symbol of Halloween which is normally associated with thrillers and horrors, the red in the wig could symbolize blood and danger which could be seen as something that is scary or horrifying. By having a light background it is out of the ordinary to have something to be scared of in day light which is why I wanted it to be different to achieve an effect that is unique but if something like this was to be seen in broad day light.

This picture was taken to represent the genre of Comedy. 

With this genre it is sometimes a personal preference to what anyone's humour consists of. For example some may find this funny and some may not but many people will find this amusing. By having minimal props we were told to try and portray a genre by doing a stand still picture; representing something that will show the type of genre to anyone who views it. By using the blue wig as the only physical prop, we wanted to incorporate a setting that wouldn't be used as an ordinary comedy seen so by using a toilet and showing me falling off of it could be seen as funny or humour.

This genre type was Teen Rom Com.
 

Our approach too this picture was too create a love effect presented to the audience to represent both the teen and romance section of the genre type. We represented the comedy part with the prop of the feather scarf and this prop is mainly used in photo booths used to portray a good time and having fun, which is what we tried to put across. We also used the setting of being under a tree to try and represent many scenes that are shown in other teen rom com movies.
